Agra
What to see - Visit the Taj Mahal, The Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. If you organize the time well you can do it all in a day. If you are not in a rush take a day off separately for the drive to Fatehpur Sikri and enjoy the ruins of the Mughal city at leisure. You can also do some shopping in terms of leather goods and the world famous Agra Petha!Getting there is easy from Delhi. It is well connected by trains and buses. You can even take the daily flight out if you so desire. The most convenient train will be the Shatabdi which gets you in to Agra in the morning and you have the full day to do all the sightseeing and shopping you wish to do. Should you not wish to stay in Agra and want to return to Delhi the same day, you can catch the evening Shatabdi back to Delhi in the evening. Timings change seasonally for the train, so do check before you plan your trip.
Delhi
What to see - Explore the Glorious Past with the Red Fort and Qutab Minar and the Current Capital with India Gate and Rashtripati Bhawan. Many people believe that Delhi is the “Dil” or heart of India. A city which has in known history been razed to the ground and rebuilt at least seven times shows its resilient nature amicably to visitors.Getting there is usually the first stop or port of entry for most foreigners visiting India. However if traveling from within India you can rest assured that you will find a train, a bus or an airline flight which will take you there. In India all roads lead to Delhi.

Getting there is easiest from Mumbai. You can take an overnight bus as exemplified in the old movie “Bombay to Goa”, or catch a train on the Konkan railways. You even have flights on a regular basis from most Indian metros.
